Productivity habits are always important, year round, however, it’s the start of the new year and we all have goals we want to accomplish. Whether it be moving forward in your career or adjusting habits to be more useful. The reason I thought this would be a great resource is because I sometimes struggle with remembering what I can do daily to increase my mood and productivity. This can be helpful to you in any way you may need to increase productivity. Healthy habits are more than just eating your greens and exercising. Taking care of yourself mentally, spiritually, or physically can change your outlook on your goals, in a positive manner. Lets get into the good stuff!

- Decrease time on your phone at the start and end of your day!
This productivity habit can help you to wake up and focus on your plan for the day or sleep better at night.
- Journal at least one time during the day!
This is something that can be personalized you and or your goals. I’ve started doing this in the morning and have written down what I may be grateful for that day. This helps me to be mindful of everything I have.
- Practice Law of Attraction!
You can do this in several different ways. Letting go of unwanted feelings or thoughts, being positive, manifesting goals, being grateful, etc. This is a healthy habit that can keep you focused on a goal and in turn increase your productivity.
- Read more books!
Reading can provide you with knowledge, entertainment, or happiness. This habit can provide you with productivity in whichever means you see helpful. We all know reading is a healthy habit, try reading at least one book per month!
- Trade out negative thinking for Positive thinking!
This is a healthy habit that can push you to complete tasks, take a chance on yourself,
- Practice Leadership!
This habit can help you internally with taking control of things within your business, a job, family life, etc. If given the opportunity to practice leadership in your role at work you should always take it. Being an example for others can build your mindset for that boss mentality we all have within us. This is something I try to do within any role I’ve had within my career, try it! - Listen to self help podcasts, videos, audio books.
Sometimes this may be overloading if you take too much in, but self help podcasts can really motivate you and create excitement in yourself to get to the next level, whether it be in business or your lifestyle. Productivity habits are not always about doing your own work. I love the idea of learning from others who have different experiences than us, expands your mind.. depth.. I’m excited thinking about it 🙂 - Limit distractions!
This is an easy one however easier said than done. Being able to limit distractions while working on something important can help with productivity and is a great habit to learn. Try putting your phone on do not disturb for an 1-2 hours while working and focusing in on a task and increase this as necessary if you can! - Don’t compare yourself to others!
When you compare your self to others you limit your potential. Use others as inspiration when necessary and as guidance for knowledge however don’t compare yourself to others when in business or creating a healthier lifestyle for yourself. - Know your coping mechanisms!
Being aware what coping mechanisms work for you can be helpful when you are stressed or need to decreasing anxiety. Some ideas include taking deep breaths, talking to someone who can help calm you down, watch a funny video, or just take some time to reset ⏳. Essentially you’re resetting your mood to match the energy you need to push through. Mental health is important and knowing things that can help you before you’re pushed to the limit can be very helpful. Therapy can be helpful too to create some methods of coping, do your own research of course. - Get 6-8 hours of sleep each night!
Top of the productivity habits list! Sleep is a healthy habit that has direct affect on your productivity , try sleeping at least 6-8 hours per night! - Drink enough water!
Increasing water intake can increase your energy. Your brain is mostly water, drinking it helps you think, focus & concentrate more effectively and be you are more alert. - Keep your environment clean!
I think we all have had those moments where we felt we couldn’t work or get things done because the space around us wasn’t clean. Taking the time to clean up can clear your mind and less clutter can increase productivity. - Exercise!
Moving your body at some capacity daily for at least 30 minuted per day with an increased heart rate can help to make you feel so much more productive. - Take breaks!
Relieving yourself every so often during the day is healthy habit that can keep you productive. After every hour of work you can take a 5-10 minute break. You’ll look forward to having a break and it’ll help you push through! - Schedule your day out!
Making a schedule for your day is helpful to look back on to make sure your being productive. Even if you don’t always complete all the tasks, being conscious of what needs to be done can motivate you to get more done than you would have without a scheduled list. - Take notes!
If you’re in a meeting or learned something that you don’t want to forget, taking notes is super helpful to look back at. This is a great healthy habit to increase your productivity! - Stop complaining!
Learn to find solutions to your problems instead of complaining! This healthy habit can obviously help you in the long run. Researching steps to take to overcome an obstacle can increase productivity on goals you never knew you had. I love this habit 😍 - Do an end of day overview!
Reviewing your day in terms of what you were able to get done, what still needs to be done, what you were grateful for, writing down something that made your day easier, etc. This habit can help you to be more productive because you can be reviewing things that went well, needs advancement, or continuance. - Find happiness in your current state of being!
Being able to be happy where you are while improving your life is important. Have you ever heard the saying ‘do things with love’? Having the ablility to appreciate where you are can increase your drive to get to the next level.
Productivity is something we all strive for, its like that thing we sometimes can’t get a grasp on, these daily healthy habits can help you to move forward to being more productive than ever!
